    2021-2023
    Change of Managing Director

There was a change at the top management in summer of 2021. Since August 1st, Dr. Alexander Karl is the new CEO.

    2016-2021
the future is here to come

In 2016 the new production hall comes into operation. One year later the moving into the new, modern administration building is realized.

In 2011 the first phase of construction in Maichingen started in order to update the buildings and to extend the capacities. The second phase startet in 2015 (new production hall).

key competence in the areas of disc springs and of stamped spring parts

In 2011 the HUGO BAUER NACHF GmbH and the Adolf Schnorr GmbH & Co. KG are finally merged together as one enterprise to become SCHNORR® GmbH. Further synergies are generated and their joint market presence is increased. In 2013 the concern has been newly structured with an automotive and an industrial sales division. Following on this the SCHNORR® GmbH now develops and manufactures deep drawn parts for the automobile industry. A further aim of the new structure is to focus the concern on its key competence in the areas of disc springs and of stamped spring parts.

    2011-2016
    international expansion

The SCHNORR® Group continues its international expansion. Further subsidiaries are successfully established in Spain, France, Mexico, China (Shanghai and South Korea (see picture SCHNORR®). In 1995, the Hugo Bauer Nachf. GmbH becomes a Member of the SCHNORR® Group. Due to their cooperation within theSCHNORR® Group the market presence of both companies is strengthened and synergies are exploited. More and more new products such as special springs or stamped parts made of spring steel are developed and manufactured, in particular for the automotive industry.

    1990-1999
    SCHNORR® international

The internationalization of Schnorr is continuously promoted. Exclusive representatives are acquired throughout Europe and the first two subsidiaries with SCHNORR® Corporation (1972) in the United States and SCHNORR® Italia S.r.l. (1980) are founded.

    1970-1989
    Original SCHNORR® Safety Washer

In the early 1960's Schnorrs own Original SCHNORR® Safety Washer is developed and it begins its success story as a much more effective product compared with the conventional locking devices for bolted connections.

    1960-1969
    Sindelfingen-Maichingen

Adolf Schnorr passes away in the year 1951 at the age of 68 years. Thanks to strong growth the property in Botnang has now reached its maximum capacity. A new factory building with an associated office building is required. This is built at the new site in Sindelfingen-Maichingen and moved into in 1956.

    1950-1959

Soon a new, larger building is needed and this is erected on the existing property in 1936. During World War II this building was badly damaged in air raids but was quickly rebuilt after the war with the simplest of means.

    Serial production of disc springs

Due to the positive market reception Adolf Schnorr commences the serial production of disc springs. The demand for "SCHNORR®-Springs" becomes so strong that he decides to cease making tools in order to concentrate his production solely on disc springs.

    1934-1949
    25 Jahre Schnorr
    After World War I

After his return from military service Adolf Schnorr sold the shop in Altbach and acquired with the proceeds a workshop in Botnang, near Stuttgart. Adolf Schnorr now begins to occupy himself more and more with the functionality of disc springs and uses them for his precision tools. In 1933 Adolf Schnorr celebrates his 25th company anniversary.

    1918-1933
    The beginnings....

In 1908, at the age of 25, Adolf Schnorr founded a small workshop in Altbach near Esslingen, to the south of Stuttgart. He quickly generated an - initially small - customer base which appreciated his well-crafted precision tooling. With the outbreak of World War I this development was abruptly stopped. Adolf Schnorr became a soldier and had to lease his workshop.

    1908
    Adolf Schnorr

Adolf Schnorr was born in the year 1883. From his first marriage with Minna neé Dittling three daughters were born. Some time after the early decease of his first wife, Minna, Adolf Schnorr married his second wife, Theresa Arnold. From this marriage they had one son.
